Welcome to the first edition of Writing 4 Resilience as we round up all the great writing that happened within the Running 4 Resilience community.
This week:
Breeny discussed the pros and cons of Stoicism.
Milkbar Nick wrote about how as blokes get older, they tend to socialise less and have fewer friends, and how their spouses can bear the brunt.
Sammy Wilson raised the bat for being 100 days sober, and shared how his identity is starting change.
Benny A started writing again after having a week off and discussed what he does to recharge when his battery gets flat.
Timbo shared about the time he nearly died and how he feels powerless at times about his condition.
We welcomed Fordy to Substack as he launched Peak2Soon - the thoughts and reflections of a heavyweight runner. Looking forward to the first post!
And last but not least, we had our first monthly catch-up to discuss “why we’re writing” and was joined by Jo Petroni, a freelance illustrator and sustainable architect from the south of France who writes Jo’s Epistolary.
W4R online catches-up happen once a month, and if you’re keen to join, please leave your email in the comments below.
Cheers.
